2022 Summer Clean Up Day

Introducing the first ever

Trotwood Manor West Neighborhood Cleanup Day!

Saturday, June 18th

10:00 A.M. - until we’re done or we run out of steam!

The wall areas at Ft. Couch and Harrogate are in need of a make-over. We’ve not had much luck with landscapers over the years. After some consideration, we think the best people to make our neighborhood look amazing are our neighbors themselves! There’s plenty of work for all different skill levels, but because we’ll be working by the road, this may not be the best activity for small children. (Maybe they’d like to deliver lemonade to our volunteers instead?) Older students can earn volunteer hours and we can all take pride in accomplishing this task. What better way to come together as a community than to take care of it together?

Goals:

  • Remove all rock at both walls

  • Remove and/or trim existing plants

  • Create a new, smaller, space for landscaping

  • Plant grass to meet the road

  • Select easy-to-maintain plants

  • Plant

  • Spread mulch

All costs will be covered by the association, but we need you to donate your time and effort. Whether your thumb is green or blue or pink with purple polka-dots, there’s a job for you. Help yourself to a few pet rocks, an overgrown shrub, or a flower that might be a very large weed. Whether you can come for an hour or three, come late or come early, we welcome your help. Please consider joining us!
