2021 Spring Check-In

Below is a copy of the letter that was dropped off to each neighbor's house this May providing a little update on the association and its activities.

Trotwood Manor West Neighborhood Association

Annual Letter

Dear Neighbor,

We hope this letter finds you well. As summer quickly approaches, we would like to take a moment to provide an update on neighborhood news and events.

If you are new to the neighborhood, welcome! This association includes the following streets: Glencairn Circle, Harrogate, Harvester Circle, Little Meadow, Miranda, Trotwood Ridge, Trotwood West and Westgate. Together, we make up the Trotwood Manor West Neighborhood Association. Becoming a member is purely voluntary and requires just a $25 annual fee. You don’t have to have children to be part of the neighborhood association! The purpose of this organization is to foster community spirit and pride through the organization of social events and other neighborhood activities, as well as assist in the maintenance of the neighborhood walls.

Board Participation

During our Annual Meeting in October, we welcomed Emily Collins to the board. If you are interested in getting involved in organizing neighborhood activities, the Board is always looking for additional help. The time commitment to serving on the board is minimal and our veteran board members will help to guide those who are interested in stepping into an active role. The more of us that come together, the stronger our association and community relationships will be!

Wall Maintenance

In an effort to keep the entrance to our community looking good, we are interested in professional feedback on ways to keep the wall landscape looking simple, clean, and welcoming. If you are a landscaper or know of a landscaper that could give direction on wall landscaping, please let us know! We have a list of volunteers who expressed interest in helping maintain the wall landscaping throughout the year, but the association thought that some professional guidance could help freshen up our look. If you want to be added to the list, please let us know.

Neighborhood Events

Flamingo Friday

June 4 - Hosted by Smith Family (Miranda Road)

July 16 - Hosted by Dollear Family (Miranda Road)

August ?? - Host needed. You pick the Friday!

Block Party

Date TBD - September - Ft. Couch Field

As restrictions begin to lift, the neighborhood is planning to host both our Flamingo Fridays and Block Party. They may look a little different than they have in the past, but we still want to provide an opportunity for neighbors to get together outside where social distancing is available. We would like to stress that these events are completely optional and you should only attend if you feel safe doing so. Please check our website for further details regarding these events.

Neighborhood Directory

Did you know we had a neighborhood directory? To have access to the directory page, you will need to sign-in through the Trotwood Manor West Neighborhood Association website (www.tmwna.com). When you first create an account, it will require approval by a board member. This is purely to keep the information in the directory only accessible to our neighbors. If your information has changed, please let us know so we can make the necessary updates.

Annual Dues

To help offset the costs of events and wall maintenance we will be collecting voluntary dues for 2021. In a normal year, dues are $25, however this year we are asking neighbors to pay what they are comfortable contributing. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

How to submit a payment:

  1. Use our Website: www.tmwna.com

  2. Use PayPal: paypal.me/TMWNA

  3. Send a Check: Mail a check, made out to TMWNA, to Elisa Scheuerle (615 Trotwood Ridge)

Thank you in advance for your support. If you would like to become more involved, host an event, or help with the walls please email trotwoodmanorwest@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing all of you very soon!

With Gratitude,

Emily Collins

Jeana Dollear
