About the Event
Join your Trotwood Manor West neighbors and other neighborhoods in the township as we celebrate the USC Light Up for Unity Night on December 6, 2020. We are asking all of our Trotwood West neighbors to participate by lighting up our streets with luminaria. Our goal is to have every neighbor participate and create a beautiful display of light and unity.
In addition, the Trotwood Manor West Neighborhood Association will host a “Neighborhood Stroll” where we invite you and your family to walk the streets of our neighborhood to see the beautiful lights and see your neighbors – from an appropriate distance! Stops along the way will provide special treats like cookies and crafts for the little ones. We will even have a DIY scavenger hunt for the kids! Look for more information about this great evening as we get closer!
Luminaria can be ordered online here. at www.uscbpa.org. Kits are $15 a piece or 2 kits for $25. This allows all of us to participate in our Light Up for Unity Night and display on Christmas Eve (or another night of your choosing). You can also order by contacting Amanda McQuillan at 412-726-5949 or katmcquillan19@gmail.com.
For those neighbors who would like to participate but will not be home on that evening, or need assistance in setting the luminaria out, our neighborhood band kids are willing to do the work for you! Just let us know if you need help by contacting Amanda McQuillan at the email or number above.
Luminaria are made by our USC Band/Orchestra students, and delivered on Saturday, December 5. Monies raised go directly to supporting music in our schools. In an effort to support our community this year, $1 from every bundled kit ($25 kit) will be donated to SHIM to help families in need.
It’s a different year, but we still want to come together as a neighborhood! We look forward to seeing you out and about on December 6!
